Collection of yard waste will begin on Monday, March 30, 2020 and end on October 15, 2020. It will be collected the same day as your recycling. Yard Waste is defined as grass clippings, garden residues, twigs, leaves, and small amounts of sod. The program includes woody yard waste that is defined as sticks and branches up to 6 inches in diameter. Brush, limbs, tree trunks, and the like must be tied in bundles of no more than 4 feet in length and 30 pounds in weight.
Mulch & Compost
We encourage residents to mulch and compost these items. Mulched grass clippings and compost are excellent fertilizers and rich in nutrients that help make lawns, shrubs, and gardens healthy. If you choose not to take advantage of this natural process, yard waste must be placed in biodegradable paper bags provided by the Borough.
Note: Plastic bags and open containers will not be collected. You must attach an extra service tag to each bundle or bag.
Bags & Stickers
Stickers are available at the Borough’s Business Office at a cost of $2 each. A biodegradable bag will be distributed with each sticker purchased.
