Rail Trail (Fall)The Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail (WERT) is an incredible way to experience Ephrata's incredible natural beauty in a new way. Built from a converted right-of-way of the Reading Railroad, the WERT connects Ephrata with several nearby communities via a well-maintained trail.

 The WERT is one of Ephrata's newest recreational facilities, opening on December 31, 2018. It features extensive trail facilities that make walking or biking the 7.5-mile trail easy for individuals, groups, and families. Check it out today to have an adventure like none other! 

The Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail (WERT) Features

The WERT stretches for nearly eight miles and connects Ephrata with several nearby communities, including Ephrata Borough, Lititz Borough, Akron Borough, and Warwick Township.

The WERT begins in Lititz Borough at Broad Street and ends in Ephrata Borough at West Chestnut Street. The WERT connects the above communities along a stretch of the old Reading Railroad corridor, which forms the basis of the trail. 

Visitors can access the WERT through points spread out along its length. You'll find abundant parking and restroom facilities, covered bridges, and two new electric car charging stations along the trail.

The WERT is open to the public, and you can explore as much or as little of the trail as you like. 

Along the WERT, you can run, walk, or bike and enjoy the region's natural wonder. The trail is popular with people of all ages, including individuals, groups, and families.
