White Goods Collection 

That warmer spring weather has everyone opening up their windows and cleaning and organizing their homes, and the Borough would like to help.  Ephrata Borough provides all residents White Good Collection two times a year, both in the spring and in the fall. 

What is a White Good Item?

White Good Items are large appliances weighing in excess of 50 pounds. 

Acceptable Items: Dishwasher, Clothes Washer and Dryer, Hot Water Heaters, Above Range Microwave, Stoves/Ovens, Freezers and Refrigerators, and Air Conditioners. 

Non-Acceptable Items: Any commercial vending equipment.

To prepare items for pick up, all liquids should be drained prior to pick up.  Freon does NOT need to be removed. 

When is Pick Up? 

The Borough offers White Goods Collections two times a year, both in the spring and the fall, with the first pick up being the week of May 8, 2023, where items will be picked up on the day that the resident’s recycling goes. The second pick up is scheduled for the week of September 11th, 2023.

In order for these items to be collected, they must have a white good tag attached to each item, which can be purchased at the Borough Office, 124 S. State St. Ephrata PA, for a cost of $25 each during business hours of 8am to 4:30pm.
